Course Overview
This credential empowers professionals with a comprehensive understanding of global logistics, sustainability, and integrated logistics systems, enabling them to optimize trade-offs, align logistics strategy with organizational goals, and identify the most profitable service mix while considering costs. CLTD-certified individuals have the strategic and tactical expertise essential for supply chain excellence and add value across the entire supply chain.
Training Formats: Self Study, Self-Pace Online On-Demand, and Instructor-Led sessions
Training Methods: Online, Hybrid, and Face-to-Face
Study Resources: Printed and Digital Learning System, Exam Content Manual, Courseware material, Online content and quizzes, and APICS Dictionary
Certification Exam: 3.5 hours timed exam consisting of 1 exam of 150 computer-based multiple choice questions
Course Length: 45 training hours + additional self-study
Why Should I Earn the CPIM?
The pandemic caused a major shift in consumer demand and put a spotlight on supply chain vulnerabilities. This makes planning more important than ever, and the NEW CPIM Version 8.0 reflects that. Earning the APICS CPIM demonstrates mastery of an organization’s internal operations and an in-depth understanding of materials management, master scheduling, forecasting, production planning and how it applies across the extended supply chain.
After earning the CPIM you will be able to:
- Improve distribution inventory management
- Develop and monitor warehouse performance metrics
- Identity and mitigate risk in logistics and transportation
- Manage and execute orders with an emphasis on logistics
- Identity and maintain optimal inventory levels including costs, controls and policy
What Will I Study?
Earning the APICS CLTD demonstrates expertise in streamlining and optimizing logistics, transportation and distribution including order management, distribution inventory management and warehouse management.
The new APICS CLTD exam consists of nine content areas. To earn the CLTD certification, you must master each of the following:
- Module 1: Logistics Fundamentals and Strategy
- Module 2: Demand Management and Supply (Capacity Management)
- Module 3: Customer and Order Management
- Module 4: Warehouse Distribution/ Fulfillment Center Management
- Module 5: Inventory Management
- Module 6: Transportation Management
- Module 7: Global Logistics
- Module 8: Sustainability, Reverse Logistics, and Risk Management
- Module 9: Logistics Framework, Metrics, Network Design, Transformation, and Improvement
