President's Message

Can you believe that we are well into the second half of 2026?

I encourage each of you to take a moment to reflect on your professional development goals and the progress you've made so far. While we've accomplished a great deal as a chapter, there is still much to achieve, and success comes from staying focused, engaged, and committed to continuous learning.

One of the greatest benefits of ASCM Greater NC is the opportunity to stay connected with a community of supply chain professionals who share a passion for growth and excellence. I encourage you to participate in our chapter events, attend educational programs, engage with fellow members, and look for opportunities to volunteer. The relationships you build and the experiences you gain through chapter involvement can have a lasting impact on your career.

As many of you know, we will soon be welcoming a new slate of board members. This transition brings exciting opportunities for incoming leaders to contribute fresh ideas and energy to the chapter. It also creates new opportunities for outgoing board members to stay involved in different ways, sharing their experience and continuing to support our mission. Leadership is not limited to a board position, and there are many meaningful ways to make a difference.

Many people ask, "What's in it for me if I join the chapter?" The answer depends on where you are in your career journey. If you are new to the supply chain profession, you may be looking to build your network, establish valuable industry connections, or earn a certification that helps differentiate you in the job market. If you are in the middle of your career, you may be seeking new challenges, fresh perspectives, and ways to stay current with evolving trends and best practices. For our seasoned professionals, this may be the perfect time to give back by mentoring a student or young professional and helping develop the next generation of supply chain leaders.

No matter where you are in your career, ASCM Greater NC has something to offer. Together, let's remain focused on our goals, continue learning from one another, and make the most of the opportunities ahead. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and working together to make the rest of the year a success.
